Can a Security guard keep people in their restaurant?
I was eating with my kids (17 YO and 16 YO) in a big fancy restaurant and they told the people in the restaurant that the front doors will be lock for the night till 12 am, but my kids were very sleepy at 10pm so i just went to the back garden were people were taking photos for celebration but meet this security guard and told me that i cannot leave until 12 pm, and i said my kids need to go home, but he keeps saying i have to wait till 12pm midnight until i can leave, so i have to wait and my kids just slept on the garden bench till 12pm.
So the question is can they keep people in public area, also the restaurant was a booking one.
Sorry i meant “12 am”
I’ve never heard of a restaurant locking people in. That’s insane, and probably a violation of several fire codes.
